N.D. (AP) – Fargo police say they arrested a 21-year-old man for climbing onto a second-floor balcony and trying to break in to an apartment.    

Sgt. Mark Lykken says the man had a knife and was trying to use it to open the balcony door to the apartment.    

The apartment’s female resident saw the man and called police just before 2 a.m. Friday.    

Brian Lee Pfeifer of Park Rapids, Minnesota was arrested and taken to the Cass County jail on suspicion of criminal trespass.     

Pfeifer told police he thought he was trying to get into a friend’s apartment, and it turned out he was at the wrong place.
