CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) As wildfires burn throughout Arizona, the Red Cross continues to assist those displaced and affected in the area. Long-time volunteers, Paul & Barb Henke of Valley City, will become the 4th & 5th volunteers from the ‘Dakotas Region’ to deploy.

The Red Cross is operating three shelters in Arizona—in Kingman, Prescott and Wickenburg—for those forced to evacuate because of wildfires.  The Yarnell Fire where the 19 firefighter fatalities occurred is only 25 miles from Wickenburg.

The Henke’s have been on several deployments. The couple spent two-weeks in New York assisting with the ‘Superstorm Sandy’ relief efforts. In Arizona, the couple will be working in bulk distribution of supplies.
