DAKOTA (NewsDakota.com) – Officials from Job Service North Dakota say for the month of June there were roughly 21,500 jobs listed online in North Dakota.

Spokesman Michael Ziesch says the figures show about 38-percent of the open and available jobs are in the 17 oil producing counties, but the distribution of jobs covers all occupational groups and all of the state.

He says while the number is not the highest the state has seen, it’s a good number when you consider how the state has been growing.

Ziesch says he would like to see more families enter those areas and provide some balance to the job supply and demand.
