CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Mercy Hospital CEO Keith Heuser announced Monday that four Valley City Sanford physicians have resigned their hospital privileges effective August 1. Heuser said no reason was given or stated in the notices handed to him.

Heuser said at no time did Mercy Hospital tell the doctors that they could not practice at the hospital.

Heuser said the process to recruit doctors to fill in the gap is underway. He explained how patients at Mercy Hospital will be affected by this announcement.
