CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Several homes, businesses and the Senior/Junior High School received water damage from a June 20 storm in Valley City.

Superintendent Dean Koppelman said a number of staff members and students helped get the school cleaned up in a short period of time.

Koppelman said ceiling tile and carpet damage is estimated at $60,000 but could be less depending on the carpet clean up process.

He said the phone system for the Senior/Junior High School and Administration offices will have to be replaced at an estimated cost between $13,000 to $16,000 due to water damage.

School District Facilities Director Rick Anderson said a company out of Bismarck was hired to dry out the Junior High gym floor in the lower level of the building.
