N.D. (AP) – Testimony has concluded in a disciplinary hearing for a North Dakota district judge accused of sexually harassing a court reporter.

The North Dakota Judicial Conduct Commission is investigating the complaint against East Central District Judge Wickham Corwin, of Fargo, who has denied the allegations.

The hearing wrapped up Monday after a day and a half of testimony. Lawyers will have about two months to present their closing arguments to the panel, which will then have 60 days to offer its recommendation. The state Supreme Court will make the final decision.

Possible sanctions include censure by the Supreme Court, a recommendation to limit the judge’s duties, suspension, removal or retirement.

Corwin’s attorney, Ronald McLean, says his client sought a “civil, cordial relationship” and it does not qualify as sexual harassment.
