JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Mike Wolfe, Frank Frtiz, and the team are returning to North Dakota to film episodes of the hit series American Pickers.
The company has been contacting different communities across the state searching for locations to “pick” while filming occurs.
“AMERICAN PICKERS is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique ‘picking’ on History,” the company states. “The hit show follows Mike and Frank, two of the most skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections or accumulations and learn the interesting stories behind them.”
Right now, American Pickers is looking for leads and would love to explore hidden treasures in North Dakota.
“If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send us your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos,” the company stated. Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Becky Thatcher-Keller says American Pickers possibly coming to our area is an exciting prospect.
“I am so excited that the television show ‘American Pickers’ is considering coming to our region and perhaps stopping in Jamestown,” Thatcher-Keller stated. “This would be an excellent opportunity to share some of our history and interesting antique collections with the world, through this show. What a wonderful way to expose the world to our scenery, our communities and our history. Help spread the word to anyone that might have a unique collection.”
