BISMARCK, N.D. (NDDoH) – The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) Division of Medical Marijuana has received final scores from the review panel tasked with evaluating and scoring complete manufacturing facility applications.
Two entities have been selected to move forward with the registration process. One entity, Pure Dakota LLC, will locate their facility in Bismarck while the other entity, Grassroots Cannabis (legal name GR Vending ND, LLC), will be located in Fargo.
“The selection of two entities to be eligible for registration as a manufacturing facility is a major milestone in implementing the Medical Marijuana Program,” stated Jason Wahl, director of the Division of Medical Marijuana. “The manufacturing facilities will be responsible for growing marijuana, drying the leaves and flowers, and converting marijuana into a medical marijuana product,” added Wahl.
The two manufacturing facilities selected to move forward will have additional requirements they must meet prior to a registration certificate being issued from the NDDoH.
Manufacturing facilities are only authorized to sell dried leaves or flowers and medical marijuana products to registered dispensaries. The application period for dispensaries is not currently open, but is one of the next steps in the process of implementing the Medical Marijuana Program.
