BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jenna Fischer hit two home run and drove in seven runs leading Jamestown to a 10-4 win over Bismarck Legacy in game one of a West Region doubleheader in Bismarck Saturday afternoon. Jamestown won the second game 8-7.

In the first game, the Blue Jays scored nine runs in the first two innings, seven thanks to Jenna Fischer.
In the first inning, the eighth grader hit a three run home run, giving the Blue Jays a 3-1 lead. In the second inning, she blasted a grand slam home run over the right center field fence. Coming into the game, Fischer drove in seven runs in 12 games. Saturday she doubled that with two swings. Ella Roaldson had two hits for Jamestown. Payton Gall scattered eight hits over seven innings for the win. She allowed four earned runs with four walks and eight strikeouts.

In game two, McKenna Jackson broke a 6-6 tie with her second hit of the game in the top of the sixth.
Jamestown scored five runs in the third inning to take a 5-1 lead. The inning was highlighted by Alex Nihill’s two run double. Sydney Soulis had three hits, including two doubles for the Jamestown. Nihill and Jackson each had two hits.
The Blue Jays would open up a 6-1 lead with a single run in the fourth on Ella Roaldson’s rbi groundout.
Whitney Thomas hit her sixth homerun of the season to leadoff the fifth inning. The Sabres scored three times that inning to tie the game at 6.
Jamestown has won nine of the last ten games and are 5-5 in the West Region and 10-8 overall. Legacy falls to 3-11 in the West and 5-16 overall. Jamestown will host Williston on Monday and travel to Dickinson on Tuesday.
