JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After losing their first two games of the season against Bismarck back in April, the Jamestown High softball team bounced back with a pair of wins Tuesday. The Jays walked off in the first game winning 9-8 and took the second 7-4.

The Demons jumped out to a 5-0 lead in game one. Jamestown eventually tied with a three-run double from Ella Roaldson.

In the sixth inning, Bismarck strung together six hits in seven at bats to score three runs to take control. Jamestown loaded the bases in the seventh and back-to-back errors on the Demon shortstop allowed the tying and winning runs to score.

Jamestown scored early in game two when Olivia Nihill came all the way around from first on an over throw of second base on an attempted steal. That set the tone and Alex Nihill held the Demons down surrendering just a three-run homer in five innings.

Peyton Gall, who got the win in game one, worked the final two innings to seal the victory.
