GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- For the first time this year The VCHS softball team found themselves trailing when Central took a 3-1 lead Tuesday night in Grand Forks. The Hi-Liners came back with 8 runs over the final 4 innings to get the 9-5 win and keep their record perfect moving to 6-0.
Courtney Lloyd was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and a stolen base. Erin Anderson had 2 hits and drove in a run. Taiylor Ellingston had a double and 2RBI for The Knights.
Both pitchers lasted the entire game. Becca Thompson allowed 5 runs on 5 hits with 7 strike outs in a winning effort for The Hi-Liners. Cortney Gereau gave up 13 hits and 7 earned runs while walking 5 with a strike out while taking the loss for Central.
