JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A year ago, Jamestown and Dickinson met in the West Region Championship game and the Midgets won a 5-4 decision in eight innings. Last night, they met to start the Jays season at Astoria Field and it was a Jamestown sweep.

Jamestown won another extra inning affair in game one with a 4-1 win. Ryder Lunzman started and went seven strong while scattering three hits and striking out six. He got a no-decision.

The Jays put up three runs in the top of the 9th to take the lead for good. A Dickinson error proved to be the decider when Chris Erickson scored to take the lead.

In game two, it was all Jamestown. The Midgets jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Jamestown scored the next 11. They won 11-2. The lone senior, Drew Murray got the win.
