JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Free Cone Day was held at Dairy Queen chains nationwide on the first day of Spring.
The fourth annual event welcomes in spring by dishing out free vanilla cones while asking for freewill donations that will go on to help Sanford’s Children Miracle Network. Dairy Queen and Sanford’s Children Miracle Network have had a partnership for several years, raising thousands of dollars.
“Jamestown DQ gave away around 1,189 cones and raised $270,” reports Owner Tricia Seckerson. “[People] can watch our Jamestown DQ Facebook page for Miracle treat day coming in July for another great opportunity to help Children’s Miracle Network.”
In 2017, Dairy Queen raised almost $300,000 during the free cone day event.
