JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With the city pool of Jamestown now officially closed, summer is fast approaching and individuals looking for swim lessons will need to look elsewhere.
The Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC) is preparing to step into that role.
TRAC Facilities Manager Amy Walters says she knows a hole was created when the pool closed at the end of the summer last year. She says they’ve been preparing for the demand that Jamestown has.
Owned and operated by the Jamestown Parks & Recreation Department, TRAC will work to provide what was lost by closing the city pool. Walters says they hope to serve a wide range of lesson participants by also providing adult swim lessons for anyone interested.
Walters says they are looking for those interest to register by signing an interests form at the center or to sign up online.
For those who are interested in being a lifeguard, swim lessons instructor or signing up for lessons are encouraged to contact Amy Walters at tracjamestown.com or call 701-252-8722.
