EDGELEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An Ellendale man was seriously injured after rolling his vehicle Saturday evening south of Edgeley.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that the incident happened just after 9:30 PM. Aaron Filbert, 38, was traveling northbound on Highway 281 at a high rate of speed when he failed to maneuver a slight curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the road, rolled multiple times and struck a frontage road before coming to rest on its wheels.

Filbert was transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and then flown to a Fargo hospital. He is facing a DUI charge. The LaMoure County Sheriff’s Department, Dickey County Sheriff’s Department, and Edgeley Fire and Rescue assisted.

The crash remains under investigation.
