JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The city of Jamestown has begun curbside recycling pickup starting today.

In a recent press release, Jamestown City Administrator Sarah Helleckson explains that the city will also begin automated garbage pickup today. Recycling will be collected every other week on regular collection days. Garbage will still be collected weekly on the same schedule.

“This is explained in the packet included in your recycling container,” Hellekson says in her release.

She asks that residents have their garbage container at the collection point with the arrows on the lid facing the roadway.

“All garbage must be in the new, brown garbage container with the lid closed. After April 1st, waste outside of the new, brown garbage container will not be collected,” Hellekson explains.
