BISMARCK (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High girls basketball team shot just 29% from the floor in the first half and couldn’t recover in a 66-57 loss to Legacy in the West Region quarterfinals.
The two teams had split the regular season meetings with the Jays winning the second time at home 46-44, but Legacy’s offense was clicking this time around. Ashley Hulm poured in 26 on 11-17 shooting to pace the Sabers.
Jamestown cut it to single-digits a few times after trailing by 11 at half. But Hulm, Whitney Thomas and the sharp-shooing Mac Boone had the answer. Boone knocked down a pair of back-breaking threes in the second half.
Legacy moves onto the West Region semis and a date with Century at 2pm tomorrow.
Courtney Peterson lead Jamestown with 14 and Kameron Selivg added 13.
The Jays will move onto a loser-out game tomorrow against Dickinson at 4:30pm in the Exhibit Hall of the Bismarck Event Center.
