COLFAX, N.D. (KFGO) – The superintendent of the Richland 44 school district has been placed on paid administrative leave.
A statement from the district says Tim Godfrey was put on leave by the school board while the investigation into possible sexual misconduct by students at the school in Colfax is underway.
Five boys are facing various charges that include hazing, sexual assault and restraint. Sources say some of the students who were suspended may be expelled. They have not been attending classes in recent weeks, but are taking courses through an on-line distance learning program. Investigators say the victims were boys. The school has students in grades 7 through 12.
