CITY (NewsDakota.com) The city has received 39 application to fill the position of Valley City police chief.

City Administrator David Schelkoph tells us that the field will be narrowed down to the top 3 or 5 people during the interview process.

Schelkoph says 3 Valley City police officers are among the 39 who applied for the position. The application deadline closed on March 31.
