GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Alex Senf and Devin Hoffman score 26 seconds apart in the third period lifting the Jamestown Blue Jays to a 4-2 win over Grafton/Park River in the Consolation Semifinals Friday afternoon at the Olympic Arena at Ralph Engelstad in Grand Forks.

Grafton/Park River tied the game at 2 on goals by Sam Keeley and Tom Magnusson at the 8:46 and 12:04 marks in the second period.

Devin Hoffman opened the scoring with a power play goal with 48.5 seconds left in the first period. It was his team leading 24th of the season. Connor Fuchs and Parker Stockert assisted on the goal.

Jace Thompson would make it 2-0 early in the second period on his 8th goal of the season just 1:27 into the second period. Bryce Nelson would get the helper on that goal.

After the Spoilers tied things up, Alex Senf scored the game winner with 50 seconds remaining in regulation. It was his 19th of the season. The Hoffman added the insurance goal with 24 seconds remaining on a one-timer off a nice pass from Tommy Falk. It was Hoffman’s 25th of the season.

Grafton/Park River had two goals disallowed. The first came in the first period on a goalie interference call that would have given them a 1-0 lead. The second came in the second period when the goal light came on but the puck was on top of the net, not in it.

Matthew Schneider had another outstanding game with 31 saves. It was the 14th time this season he has made at least 30 saves.

Jamestown improves to 14-11 on the season. Grafton/Park River end the season 9-17.
