JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A former Jamestown City Councilman is now circulating petitions for the position of Mayor.
Dwaine Heinrich has taken out petitions for the June 12th city election. In a release, Heinrich states that after consideration and encouragement from a number of Jamestown residents, he has requested and will begin circulating petitions to obtain signatures to place his name on the June 2018 ballot.
“I look forward to putting my over 40 years of business experience, and over 35 years of successfully operating my own business to work for Jamestown as we together face the difficult challenges before us,” Heinrich states in his release.
Henrich states he has turned over ownership and management of his business to commit to his run for Mayor. He joins in the race with current Mayor Katie Andersen.
“I encourage all who wish to help with this effort or otherwise discuss this matter of your concerns to contact me at: Dwaine.heinrich@daktel.com or at 701-269-1128,” he points out.
Council member Ramone Gumke’s seat is open as well. He has announced he will not seek re-election.
