BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public Radio) – North Dakota Republican Congressman Kevin Cramer has now made it “official” – he’s a candidate for the US Senate seat, now held by Democrat Heidi Heitkamp. Cramer kicked off his campaign with a Friday night rally in Bismarck.

Political observers predict the race will be expensive – and nasty. Cramer addressed that in his remarks.

Cramer said Heitkamp’s votes do not represent North Dakota’s values. President Trump, among others, has pushed him to run.
