CARRINGTON, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  Sophomore Seth Nelson poured in 28 points and Senior Garrett Bickett added 23 as the Cardinals defeat the Indians of Four Winds/Minnewuakan in Class B Boys Basketball on Thursday night 78-58. The Cardinals last loss was to Des Lacs-Burlington at the Hoopster shootout in Minot on December 29th, 2017. Carrington improves to 17-2 overall, FWM drops to 12-6.

Carrington jumped out to a 23-10 first quarter lead and never looked back.  Leading the way for FWM was Doug Yankton with 16, Fred Redfox added 14.

Carrington will open up District V tourney play on Saturday, February 24th at the Jamestown Civic Center.  They will be the number one seed for the second consecutive year and will have a first round bye.  The tournament starts on Friday, Feb. 23rd and concludes Monday, Feb. 26th.  All games will be broadcast on the Raven 103.1 FM and newsdakota.com.  Here is the first day schedule:
