FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- A hot start helped The Hi-Liner girls’ basketball team get their first win in 4 games Thursday night at Fargo North. Jumping out to a 13-2 advantage Valley City won 68-49.

Valley City had 4 score in double figures,Courtney Lloyd led the group with 17 points Jadyn Dieterle had 16 points and 8 rebound. Taryn Dieterle and Mackenzie Pederson both scored 12 points. Dieterle also pulled down 11 boards for a double double.

Elise Bakke was North’s lead scorer with 15 points. Mary Sem chipped in 10.

After Thursday’s game both teams have identical 6-11 EDC  records. Valley City plays at Davies Friday night.
