MINOT, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Its tournament time, and the West Region boys hockey tournament begins today at the Pepsi Arena in Minot.

Regular season champ Bismarck Century comes in as the top seed. At 17-4, the Patriots have not lost to a West Region team this season. In fact, they have won 15 straight games against West Region opponents.

Bismarck High, the defending tourney champs and state runners up, are the #2 seed.

For Jamestown, the tournament starts Thursday with its third meeting against Dickinson in the second game of the day.

Head coach Matt Stockert says the message is clear.

With a 6-0 win over Mandan and a tough 2-0 loss to Bismarck High, Stockert likes what he sees heading into the tournament.

The Jays are 11-9 on the season and split their two games with Dickinson. A 2-1 win on the road and a 5-3 loss at home. Puck drops at 1:15 with the pregame at 1:00pm on 1400 ESPN Jamestown.
