OAKES N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High boys basketball team ended their two game losing skid with a 59-45 victory over Lisbon Tuesday night.

The Tornadoes (9-8) had a five point lead after the first, which became seven at halftime. Lisbon (4-13) made it a game in the third pulling to within a possession, but Oakes pulled away to give the Broncos their fifth straight defeat.

Oakes was lead by freshman Garrett Meehl with 28 points. Lisbon’s Wyatt Runck carried the load for the Broncos with 27 points.

Oakes hosts Linton-HMB Thursday. Lisbon visits Rosholt, South Dakota to battle Tri-State Friday.
