The Thunder trailed by 5 early but kept pace and pulled within 2 points on 3 occasions the late time at 13-11 to end the first quarter. It was a 12-0 start to the second period that broke the game open for The Raider. They led 45-22 at halftime and 63-40 after 3 quarters.
Hunter Smith, who scored the game’s first 4 points, ended the night with 24 for Maple Valley. Adam Punton had 14 off the bench and Carter Killoran 10.
MPB had 15 points from Mike Thomas. Braxton Heinle added 11 and Preston Martin 9. The Thunder play at EKM Thursday. Maple Valley is schedule to play Richland Friday.
