LaMoure, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) – Isaac Huber and Lane Hanson combined to score 32 points in the second half leading Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier to a 73-58 win over LaMoure-Litchville/Marion in District 5 boys basketball Tuesday night.
Huber scored 14 second half points and Hanson scored 18 after the break as the Rebels used a 14-4 run to start the third quarter to pull away from the Loboes. Huber finished with 22 points and six assists while Hanson added 22 points, 16 rebounds and six blocked shots. Cale Mathern was also in double figures with 14 points.
Jamison Kramer led the Loboes with 32 points and six rebounds. Half of his points came in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough for LLM who had a three game winning streak snapped. Alex Klever chipped in five assists for the Loboes who fall to 3-3 in the District and 11-6 overall. They will be the number four seed in the District 5 tournament later this month.
The Rebels are now 5-1 in the District and 13-3 overall after their fifth straight win. They will host Carrington on Thursday with the winner getting the top seed in the District 5 tournament.
