JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire DEpartment has released their run report for January 26th through the 31st.

Fire Chief Jim Reuther reports that there were only five calls for service in the week. In 2017, the department responded to 289 calls. In the month of January, there were roughly 32 calls for service.

Below is a rundown of all the dates, descriptions and times of each run for the week.

Call No. 28 January 26th, 9:37PM, ready squad responded to 219 5th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 40 minutes.

Call No. 29 January 27th, 5:35AM, fire department heavy rescue squad to 8820 43rd St SE, to a report of a person/s needing extricated from vehicle a vehicle accident. Firefighters extricated one person from the vehicle. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 1 hour 45 minutes.

Call No. 30 January 27th, 9:12AM, ready squad responded to 1608 9th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 43 ppm was detected. Cause- gas appliance malfunction. Time out 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Call No. 31 January 29th, 1:50AM, ready squad responded to 2501 Circle Drive, NDSH-New Horizon Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water flow switch malfunction on the sprinkler system. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 32 January 29th, 9:50AM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Welding Shop, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
