FORBES, N.D. (KFGO) – Additional charges have been filed against a rural Forbes, North Dakota man who has already accused of abusing a 9 year-old girl.

The Dickey County State’s Attorney has charged 49 year-old Robert Miner with aggravated domestic violence. Dickey County Sheriff Chris Estes says after miner’s arrest, he was given photographs that show bruising and marks on the face of Miner’s wife and was told by a family member that he hit her with a garden sprayer as she was attempting to leave their home in August 2014.

Stephanie Miner said that she would not testify against her husband and repeatedly told Sheriff Estes that the bible doesn’t allow her to speak out about her husband. They’ve been married 23 years.

Miner was originally charged with kicking the child and forcing her to put her hand in hot gravy, causing extreme pain and blistering.
