VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City 8th grader Jonah Schuldheisz and junior Cade Powers have both been honored this month as The Farmers Union Insurance Wrestlers of the Week.

Wrestler of the Week is Cade Powers.

Cade is the son of Matt and Nicole Powers and a junior on the Hi-Liner wrestling team.  Cade is in his second year of wrestling who is one of the hardest workers on the team and always has a smile on his face.  Cade has wrestled 3 weights on varsity this season ranging from 182lbs all the way up to 220lbs.  Cade has 14 wins on the season and turned in an impressive performance in Lisbon on January 19 and 20th as he placed 6th in a tough 182lbs bracket.

Cade is a multisport athlete as he competes in Football and Track for the Hi-Liners and also sings in the choir.  In his spare time Cade enjoys playing with his dog.  Cade is a well-rounded student athlete as he is a member of the Valley

Wrestler of the Week -12/25-12/31

Wrestler of the Week is Jonah Schuldheisz.
Jonah is an 8th grader on the Hi-Liner varsity, wrestling at 126lbs. Jonah has a current season record of 14 wins against just 12 defeats. Jonah has been instrumental in the Hi-Liners wrestling team which is currently sitting in 2nd place in the EDC with a 5-1 record. Jonah has perfect practice attendance in 7th and 8th grade. Jonah was an Academic All State wrestler last year as a 7th grader and carries a perfect 4.0 GPA. Jonah is a busy student athlete for the Hi-Liners as he participates in Band, Science Olympiad, Track, Baseball and Football.
