JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Giving Hearts Day is scheduled for February 8th, so NewsDakota.com will highlight a variety of the different non-profit organizations that will be benefiting from the upcoming 24-hour online donation day.
The Anne Carlsen Center has been a member of the community for over 75 years, building on the life’s work of Dr. Anne Carlsen. The group has since expanded to four office locations including Fargo, Grand Forks and Devils Lake.
Felicia Sargeant is the Associate Development Director for the Anne Carlsen Center. She says Giving Hearts Day is an important fundraiser for the center and their work.
Funds that are only donated through Giving Hearts Day on February 8th will be matched up to the amount that has already been raised by the respective organization. Sargeant says if individuals have considered donating to the Anne Carlsen Center, February 8th is the best time to do so.
Sargeant says that all the funds raised will help their “superheroes” locally and all across the state.
