BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Great Plains Food Bank will be bringing their mobile food pantry to Edgeley, Oakes, and Gwinner on Thursday, February 8th.

According to the Great Plains Food Bank, the truck brings supplies, fresh vegetables, meat, baker items and boxed goods.

“Anyone in need of food assistance in each town or neighboring communities are welcome to attend and receive food at no cost,” the organization states.

The stops include:

Edgeley – Armory Parking Lot at 508 1st Avenue from 9:15 AM to 10 AM
Oakes – Lot behind Travel Inn at 401 Main Avenue from Noon to 12:45 PM
Gwinner – Gustaf Adolf Lutheran Church at 207 1st Street SE from 2 PM to 2:30 PM

Great Plains Food Bank Regional Services Manager Andrea Block says that the “Mobile Food Pantry program fills a strong need and puts food directly into the hands of those that need it most. This is all about convenience for the consumer. They know exactly when and where there will be fresh and nutritious food available. We want to make it as easy as we can for those who need help to be able to get it.”
