(NewsDakota.com) The Lions jumped out to an early 17-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back as they roll past the Thunder of Medina/Pingree/Buchanan 51-31 in Class B District VI boys basketball on Thursday night. L-HMB improves to 3-1 in D6 and 3-10 overall, MPB drops to 0-2 in D6 and 1-10 overall.
Leading the way for the Lions was Junior Cole Baumiller with 12 points, followed by Sophomore Paul McCrory with 11 and Junior Parker Gerving with nine. MPB’s leading scorer was Sophomore Michael Thomas with 11 and Senior Preston Martin added 10.
Next up for LHMB will be on Friday at home against Washburn, MPB will host Oakes on Saturday in Pingree for a boys and girls double header. Both games can be heard on the Raven 103.1 FM, 2:15pm for the girls and 6:15pm for the boys.
