ENDERLIN, N.D. – In 2016-2017, the Enderlin Eagles had a couple of seniors on the roster and posted 5-16 record, losing out in in the Region 1 tournament.
Move ahead to 2017-2018, no seniors on the roster, yet the young group has equaled last season’s win total with eight games remaining in the regular season. One area of improvement has been on the defensive end of the floor. Last season, the Eagles allowed 63.8 points per game. This season, that average is down six points. Coach Calvin Kraft says one of the reasons for the improvement is the man in the middle.
With three of their losses by four points or less, Coach Kraft says they need to improve on fourth quarter play if they are going to be successful down the stretch.
The Eagles are 5-7 overall and 2-4 in Region 1 games. With seven of the last eight games against Region 1 opponents, coach Kraft says now is the time for this young team to make a mark in the Region.
