N.D. (AP) – Authorities say a 47-year-old man is a suspect in the murder of his 83-year-old mother. Dean Grenstiner is already facing charges for stealing his mother’s car. The Bismarck woman was found dead on Tuesday.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The man who died in the Red River while trying to elude Fargo police was wanted in Minnesota on burglary charges. Court records show an active Clay County warrant for 23-year-old Steven Franek. The Moorhead man was wanted connection with burglaries of four garage units.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – One hundred students from across North Dakota are in Bismarck today to compete in the state’s geography bee. The winner will represent the state in the 24th annual National Geographic Bee that’s being held in May in Washington, D.C.
