N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown is continuing to provide the unique Leadership Program on their campuses in Jamestown and Fargo.

“Great leadership is absolutely necessary for businesses and non-profit organizations to thrive in the early 21st Century; unfortunately, it is also one of the most elusive and challenging attributes for most organizations to foster in their employees and volunteers,” the University states.

Following some research by members of the Jamestown and Fargo campuses, it was found that a Master of Arts in Leadership was needed.

Tim “Mic” McCrory is the Graduate Admission Coordinator on the Fargo campus. He says the individuals enrolled in the masters program are a mix from different businesses in the community.

And that program keeps growing.

McCrory says there is a difference between as Master of Arts in Leadership and an MBA, but unique is the best way to describe this course.

The University of Jamestown’s website states that the program “is structured to reflect the values that guide the curriculum, and as such, students will learn in a “cohort model” in which they take classes with the same group of students each semester so they can learn in community, make lifelong professional and personal connections, and help one another develop as leaders.”
