VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- VCSU basketball will host of pair of North Star Athletic Association teams Friday and Saturday at The Bubble as part of their December homestand. First The Vikings play Mayville State University and end the weekend with Waldorf University.

Last weekend was a record setting one for the VCSU women. The wins extended their season opening streak to 8 games which is a new mark to start the year for the program. Though they beat both Dickinson State and University of Minnesota Morris there were some first half struggles in both victories.

Coach Vanessa Keeler-Johnson used the week to correct some of the miscues from their last two games

 

Tuesday The Viking Men followed up Saturday’s 112-89 victory over Morris with a 74-57 defeat of Concordia College to string together consecutive win for the first time this year. VCSU has Mayville standing in the way of their 3rd triumph.

Last year The Vikings took both meetings with The Comets, this season they have a new coach and Ryan Montgomery expects a new look team this time around
