VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The holiday season is right around the corner and that means New Year’s resolutions. Get a head start on the resolution to workout more on Monday December 4th with the second annual Jingle Bell Fun Run and Walk sponsored by Fuel Up to Play 60 and Valley City Jr. and Sr. High Cross Country team.

All ages are invited to participate. All runners and walkers will start at the same time and choose whether to participate in the 1, 2, or 3 mile individual race. Another option this year will be the three person relay where each member will run one mile. All participants will receive jingle bells to wear on their shoes.

Register now until the day of the event. Cost is $10 per individual or $30 for family or relay team. Payment can be made in cash or check. Checks should be made to VC FUTP60. Please return your payment, registration form and waiver to the senior high office or on the day of the event.

The race begins at the Jefferson Elementary School. Registration is from 5:00pm to 5:30pm with the first run at 6pm. The course will take place around the Jefferson School block. One square block equals one mile. Hot chocolate will be served to all participants.

Awards will be given out to the top male and female in each division for each race. Divisions: 10 and under; Ages 11-18; Over 18. Best Costumes will also receive prizes.

So come out and wear a holiday themed costume, complete a run or walk with yout friends and support a great cause. Proceeds go to FUTP60 and VCHS/Elementary Cross Country registration scholarships to promote the life long activity of running.
