Sandra Hutton, age 75, of Valley City, ND, died Tuesday, November 7th, 2017 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11th at the Sheyenne Care Center Chapel in Valley City. Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour before the service at the Care Center Chapel. Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City, ND.

Sandra Marie was born June 23, 1942 to Peter and Alice (Bjornson) Holden. She received her education in rural ND and graduated from Davenport, ND High School in 1961. Sandra was a 1963 graduate of Valley City State Teacher’s College, where she received her teaching degree.

She had many interests and hobbies like cooking, knitting, crocheting, quilting, playing cards and spoiling her nieces and nephews.

Sandra taught elementary school in several small towns in ND. After teaching, she had many different jobs from fabric stores to the carnival circuit.

She had two loves in her life. Les, who passed away in 1995 and Wes, who passed away in 2010.

Due to failing health, Sandra entered the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City in 2011, where she was at the time of her death.

Sandra is survived by her sisters, Susan (Robert) Amundson, Williston, ND and Loretta of Valley City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Diane Peterson and Anita Greb; brother, Richard Holden; and nephew, Kyle Amundson.
