The Wolves plated six runs in the first two innings staking themselves to a 6-1 lead. Erica Rush’s RBI single in the second was the first run for Jamestown.

Northern State added two more runs in the 4th inning with a pair of doubles sandwiching a RBI single. The Jimmies added three in the visitors half of the 7th, two coming on a Kate Johnson double, but it wasn’t enough.

The Jimmies got some major production from the top of their order 6-12 by the 1-2-3 hitters for Jamestown (Heather Haegele, Celene Eccles, Kelsie Jensen). Unfortunately, the rest of line-up only could garner two hits.

Again, the Wolves struck in the first grabbing the games first two runs and it would be all Steph Horkey would need. She worked all seven for NSU allowing the eight hits, but surrendering just one run.

Jensen’s single in the 5th was the lone JC run of the game.

Jamestown College falls to 8-7 on the season. They will be in Dickinson this weekend to take on the Blue Hawks.
