ND (NewsDakota.com) – As Daylight Saving Time ends and we turn our clocks back this weekend, now is the time to test your smoke alarms.
Earlier this year, the American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign with the help of volunteers and local fire departments partnered to install 1 million free smoke alarms in the area and across the country.
American Red Cross spokeswoman Gretchen Hjelmstad said more than 900 of those alarms were installed in the Dakotas Region last month including some in Jamestown and Valley City. She said remember to test your smoke alarms this weekend and install new batteries if needed.
