(NewsDakota.com) The Ellendale High volleyball team will go into the post-season with some momentum, after a three sets to none victory at home Monday night against South Border.

The Cardinals (11-15-1) won by scores of 27-25, 25-22 and 25-9. Josie Henningsen lead Ellendale in kills (9), aces (5), digs (16) and assists (22).

The Mustangs (10-21) were lead by Emily St. Aubin’s 11 kills, while four players each had one ace.

Ellendale plays the final match of day one of the Class B District 5 Tournament, which starts Thursday in Oakes. The Cardinals meet the Tornadoes of Oakes at 7:30, with coverage on TED-FM 98.3/102.7, KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com.
