JAMESTOWN (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High boys tennis team went two-and-out at the state tennis tournament yesterday. They lost to Grand Forks Red River 4-1, before falling to Minot by the same score.
The team of Isaac Mimong and Baylee Hatlewick won the lone match for the Jays against Red River in first doubles. They won 6-3, 6-4.
In the match with Minot, first singles Connor Mullowney got Jamestown their only point, winning; 6-1, 6-3.
The individual tournament beings today and the Jays have two singles players and a doubles team in the field. Mullowney and Hatlewick will compete as singles, while Cole Bennion and Ryder Lunzman take the court as a doubles tandem.
