(NewsDakota.com)—–The Carrington girls volleyball team cruised to a pair of easy wins in the first 2 sets of the match (25-15, 25-10) and escaped the final set with a come from behind 29-27 victory. With the victory Carrington improved to 14-6 overall and 3-1 in District 5. BCN dropped to 9-13 overall and 2-2 in District 5 play.
The Cardinals had a very balanced attack led by Emerson Hoornaert and Kaedyn Mehring with a match high 11 kills each. Hoornaert added 2 aces from the service line also a match high. Mehring had a match high 4 stuff blocks. Bella Hone added 9 kills and McKayla McIntosh had 8 kills.
The Bison were led by Clara Wieland’s 6 kills and Ashley McFadgen added 5 kills. Kennedy Thompson added a match high 4 stuff blocks for BCN. BCN led 21-17 late in the third set but could not put Carrington away, as the Cardinal’s fought off 4 different set points before finally ending the match with a 29-27 third set victory.
