(NewsDakota.com) Another match, and another sweep for the Oakes High volleyball team; this time sweeping Midkota three sets to none on Tuesday night in a District 5 affair.

Oakes (19-6, 4-1 Class B District 5) won by scores of 25-14, 25-14 and 25-19. The Tornadoes finished with nine aces and 32 kills. Bailey Skjefte, Jaida Seyer and Makayla Wetzel each had a pair of aces, with Marisa Garza leading the squad with 10 kills.

Midkota (7-12, 0-4) saw Mariah Topp lead with a team high four kills.

The Tornadoes next suit up Tuesday, October 10 with another District 5 contest, this time at Carrington. Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM, KDAK-AM 1600 and NewsDakota.com starts around 7 p.m.
