CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liners opened their 2012 track and field season this weekend at the Cobber Indoor Invite at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

The Hi-Liner girls finished with 64 points, and the boys tallied 15.5.

In the girls division, Molly Willson and Jenna Jacob finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 55-meter dash.  Willson added a second in the 200-meter dash, with Jacob finishing fifth in that event.  

Allyson Suhr was second in the 1600-meter run.  Natalie Ley was third in the 3200-meter run.  The team of Jacob, Willson, Becca Mundfrom and Brienne Roehrich was second in the 800-meter relay, and the team of Suhr, Ley, Ruth Ihry and Jamie Ronning was fourth in the 3200-meter relay.

Freshman Abby Brown was third in the triple jump, Tonya Van Dyke was third in the shot put, and Erika Anderson was seventh in that event.  

On the boys side, Colin Naeseth was seventh in the 200-meter dash.  Casey Engelhardt was sixth in the 800-meter run.  Dereck Durheim was fifth in the long jump, Kyle Knutson was eighth in the triple jump, and Paul Viland was third in the pole vault.

The Hi-Liners are in action at NDSU this weekend.
