ROCKFORD, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  Senior QB Hunter Sand throws three touchdowns and completes 9-13 passing for 177 yards to help the Raiders of Nelson County defeat the Rockets of New Rockford/Sheyenne 42-22 in 9-man high school football.  NC improves to 4-0 in Region II and 5-1 overall, NRS drops to 3-1 in Region II, and 4-2 overall.

Junior James Fisk ran the ball 20 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns for the Raiders.  Senior Colton Berg had six catches for 115 yards and three touchdowns.  For NR/S, Junior QB Teddy Allmaras was 22-33 passing, with 268 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.  So far this year, Allmaras has 1,662 yards passing with 25 touchdowns and only two interceptions, one of those interceptions was tonight in the third quarter, Berg caught the interception.  Junior Wide Receiver Tucker Longnecker caught 7 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns for the Rockets.

Next up for the Rockets will be Sept. 29th at home against Larimore.  Next up for NC will be Sept. 29th at No. 1 Cavalier.  The next TED FM 98.3 game of the week broadcast will be in Lamoure, as Lamoure/Litchville/Marion hosts Kidder County in 9-man football on Friday night, Sept. 29th.  Pregame about 6:35pm, kickoff at 7pm.
