DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Week 5 features a road match up for Valley City football as they head to Devils Lake to face the 3-1 Firebirds. Devils Lake suffered their first loss of the year 35-0 last week at the hands of St.Mary’s while The Hi-Liners were shut out 50-0 at Wahpeton.

Turn overs plagued VCHS, they lost possession of the football 7 times over the course of 4 quarters. Although they didn’t find the end zone head coach Scott Roehrich felt The Hi-Liners started to better implement their offensive game plan

 

The meeting between Devils Lake and Valley City will be the first on the football field after since 2010 as The Firebirds are returning to AA after a long stretch as a AAA program. Pregame on KOVC begins around 6:40, kick off is at 7.
