(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High volleyball team found themselves struggling to overcome 6’4″ Century middle hitter Lauren Ware early in the match, but the Jays rallied to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-16) sweep of the defending state champs.

The Patriots went up 8-2 before Ware was forced off the floor and they outscored the Jays 15-5 overall with her on the floor. But, Jamestown dominated the rest of the points to sneak out with a 25-23 win.

The rest of the evening, it was all Jays. Jamestown took control early in the following two sets and weathered a comeback from the Pats each time to win.

Jamestown (10-0, 3-0) will head to Marshall, MN this week to battle some of the top teams in Minnesota.
